This Service Bulletin is to inform you of the production improvement and field fix for the subject concern.
NOTICE:
Only applicable to vehicles made at TMMF (France). Distinguishing method is by checking the 1st
digit of the 17-digit VIN:
V TMMF
J TMC

DESCRIPTION OF PHENOMENON
DTC P0810 code "Clutch position sensor circuit" is present.
(When the vehicle is traveling with the MMT warning light on, the current gear selection will remain in
position. when the vehicle is stopped, the gear selection is shifted to Neutral position and will not allow
the vehicle to take off.)
PRODUCTION IMPROVEMENT
1. Change of grease type in clutch actuator.
2. Level-up of the MMT ECU logic so that motor restart with large torque when motor has locked.

FIELD FIX PROCEDURE

As a field fix, first check the VIN number:
1. if vehicle is produced before May, 2005: replace clutch actuator with the new part number and MMT
ECU according to Repair Manual procedure.
2. if vehicle is produced between May, 2005 and August, 2005: only replace MMT ECU according to
Repair Manual procedure.
