New Score Reports for Comprehensive Self-Assessments Begin January 23, 2020

Faculty and students will see redesigned score reports for the Comprehensive Basic Science and
Comprehensive Clinical Science Self-Assessments beginning with administrations on January 23, 2020. The
updated score reports will have a modern look and feel and reflect both advances in the underlying science of
assessment and improvements in performance feedback.

Here are some benefits of the new format:

• Assessing your students' progress will be easier because scores will be directly comparable on the
Comprehensive Basic Science and Comprehensive Clinical Science Self-Assessment and
corresponding United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) Step.

• Examinee performance explanations and illustrations align with the USMLE performance report.

• You will no longer need to look up the approximate USMLE score table; the Comprehensive Basic
Science and Comprehensive Clinical Science Self-Assessment scores will now be on the same scale as
the corresponding USMLE Step.

Note: While longitudinal feedback will be available as part of the new score report, the longitudinal data for
forms completed prior to January 23, 2020 will not be included.
