INTRODUCTION
The online library system is a website that had been developed to handle transactions and management of a
library. It helps to grant information on any book present in the library to the user as well as the staff members. It
The online library website has an online account to access the website, it helps to secure the account and
provide quick access to the students. The researchers added a search tool called advance search bar for the library
website, which helps to the problem of locating the books. It can save the students precious time for other
productive thoughts. The library website has a book reservation for the students, it helps the student to read the
book at the desired time and date and help the student to focus to their studies. The online library website provide
reviews from the students, which helps the student to choose what book is the most reliable.
Traditionally, library systems are implemented manually. Forms are given to Librarian and they fill them of
using pens. Afterwards, the school administrators process them manually and complied on large bulky file cabinet.
Indeed, the manual Library system is very costly, time and tedious. The fast phased of technology attributed a lot
to the improvement of the library system. Technology enabled software developers to make a library website.
The library website helped the academic greatly and to library, transactions and queries can be created in a single
disk.
Background of the Study
The library management of Bacolod City College has a problem due to the continued use of manually
supported system, among those affected by the above problem is the students. The current system makes it hard
to accommodate students effectively. This is seen when students queue for not less than 15 to 30 minutes to make
transactions from a librarian who has got to register each student and the book transactions manually hence waste
