Language is the heart of our world. We need it to survive. Language is
human creation; we create words to mean particular things. We create our concept of the world by thinking and naming things. Using words helps us communicate effectively in different situations. Without language, we would not be able to communicate at all. Verbal communication is one of life's naturally occurring communication systems. Communication is essential for human beings. Language is the primary way in which adults pass ways of thinking and conversing on to their children. Language is an accumulation of knowledge because we learned everything by somebody through language. Society would have to recreate itself every generation if it could not pass its knowledge on through language.
BODY-
Language is one of the most powerful tools in human communication.
Words are meant to establish and maintain friendly contact. Through words, people shape their identities. People can express their feelings, attitudes, and experiences to each other through words. By speaking, you can give others information about yourself and the world around you.
Language informs, persuades, queries, expresses emotions, allows
transmission of complex ideas and data, and its usage is often artful, whether prosaic or in verse. Of course, so far my remarks are regarding vocalization and writing. The broadest definition of language includes much more. For example, we have codes, such as Morse and flag, smoke signals, body language, and to an extent even music. Computer programs include special coding that can in some sense be called language. In my essay I choose to restrict the word's meaning to its root: tongue-based communication, and its representation by alphabets and writing. All other versions I will refer to generally as communication.
CONCLUSION-
Our world is widening in a great scale, and we should be aware of the
power of language. With language as your tool, you are capable of exploring other worlds. Language is considered multi-sensory, consisting of not only the verbal and writing, but also touch, smell, sound, body, and gestural elements (Class notes). As human beings are social animals, people have the instinct to communicate with others, to share our feelings and thoughts, and as a result, language development in each individual becomes an instinct (Pinker, 1994). Since language is the tool used for communication, Wittgenstein says, “The limits of my language are the limits of my world”.
