Overview & Theme



Delegate Karrie Delaney’s Entrepreneur Fair gives a realistic overview of the basics
necessary to start a small business. The theme is “Working from the Ground Up: Cultivating
Entrepreneurship”. This Fair is designed for beginner and intermediate entrepreneurs as
well as small business owners looking to gain useful information.
We hope to host 4 workshop sessions or 2 workshop sessions that repeat. We hope
individual’s gain insight of the basics needed to start a small business and perspective from
instructors who are more experienced.

Here is a loosely based Program Overview on what we hope to accomplish through our
workshops:

§ Start-Up Basics
Clarify what could be a staggering burden into manageable parts, spotlighting the
fundamentals and implements steps to help get started.
§ Business Concepts
Gain step-by-step instruction on establishing your target markets, detailing
products and services, and analyzing your competition to learn your concept's
usefulness.
§ Marketing Plan
Learn how to expand your customer reach. Outline and implement a marketing plan.
Analyze your marketing theme. Choose the right sales approach. We will review
different marketing and pricing designs.
Financial Projections
Through hands-on guidance learn how to estimate sales revenue and frame solid
financial forecasts. Explain sales and prices, financial risks and rewards, start-up
expenses, continuous functioning costs, applying gauges for tracking development
and arranging all financial materials.
§ Funding Options
Learn about options of funds, banking, and monthly arrangement and analysis of
financial statements. Then hearing from a bank loan officer on how banks determine
the quality of business plans and loan applications.
