JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: PES Logistical Support Assistant/Driver


Band: Band 2
Location: Within the Trust Area
Reports to: Operations Manager
Responsible Logistical Support to PES Operational Teams – movement
for: and transportation of goods, vehicles, mail, uniform, stores.
To ensure that garage areas within Sector are kept in good
condition, maintaining safe working environment.

Job Purpose:

To link in with Operational Management teams to understand the logistical demands


across the sector and develop plans that will assist in the smooth delivery of services to
patients.

To ensure that station areas across the Sector are maintained to required standards
ensuring that any remedial actions are undertaken to maintain safe working
environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Driving/coordination and movement of vehicles around the area as required.

2. Movement of goods between NWAS estates and any other identified area or
location.

3. Transportation of stores, mail, medical equipment and any other identified items
between stations across designated Sector.

4. General upkeep and minor repairs to items of equipment where appropriate.

5. Maintenance of ambulance equipment, reporting of faults through appropriate


channels where required
6. General upkeep of station and mess room areas as required across the Sector.

7. Sweeping, degreasing and washing the Garage areas and general housekeeping
duties around designated stations.

8. General housekeeping maintenance of outside areas aligned to Stations within


the Sector.

9. Undertaking basic cleaning and housekeeping duties in the absence of the


domestic cleaner.

10. Undertake checks on equipment and consumables as required by the Sector


Management team.

11. Maintain a personal development portfolio

12. On going requirement to exert moderate physical effort lifting waste, pushing
trolleys, machinery and equipment.

13. To hold access codes for NWAS ambulance sites to allow for collection and
delivery of goods.
