INSTALLATION
1. Refer to WARNING.

6. Use clean oil, preferably SAE 10 or lighter weight. The rate of oil

Polycarbonate bowls, being transparent and tough, are ideal for use with NNR
Filters and Lubricators. They are suitable for use in normal industrial
environments, but should not be located in areas where they could be
subjected to direct sunlight, an impact blow, nor temperatures outside of the Plastic
rated range. As with most plastics, some chemicals can cause damage. Petcock Knob Petcock

Bowl guards are recommended for added protection of polycarbonate bowls

MAINTENANCE
1. The lubricator should remain trouble-free given clean operating
conditions. Contaminants from dirty oil can collect on bottom of
bowl or on siphon tube inlet filter. After tapping filter or bowl on a
hard surface, use an air gun to blow out residual dirt.
2. IF OIL DELIVERY RATE DROPS, clean lubricator. Shut off air
supply and reduce pressure inside lubricator to zero. Remove
Flow-Guide® variable orifice screw and clean its passage with a
small wire. Check orifice screw's bore for contaminants and clean it
if necessary. Be sure that passage downward from sight dome
cavity into Flow-Guide® variable orifice post is open. Remove
adjusting screw, clean needle and seat in body. Inspect and clean
passage from needle seat to siphon tube adapter.
3. Drain off contaminants that collect in bottom of bowl.

To avoid polycarbonate bowl rupture that can cause personal injury or
property damage, do not exceed bowl pressure or temperature ratings.
Polycarbonate bowls have a 150 PSIG pressure rating and a maximum
temperature rating of 125°F.

INSTALLATION
1. Refer to WARNINGS and CAUTIONS.
2. Purge downstream air line of oil.
3. Install the unit with the air flowing in the direction indicated by the
arrow on the body and / or the Differential Pressure Indicator.
4. The drain line connection is dependent on the type of drain that is
selected.
5. Maximum pressure rating is 150 psig (10.3 bar) for units with
Differential Pressure Indicator, and 300 psig (21 bar) for units without
Differential Pressure Indicator. Temperature range is 32°F to 150°F
(0°C to 65.5°C).
MAINTENANCE
1. TO CLEAN OR REPLACE FILTER ELEMENT: Shut off air supply and
reduce pressure in the unit to zero, remove the 8 screws from the filter
housing, unscrew the filter support and remove filter element. Clean
periodically by tapping on a hard surface, and blowing off with air gun.
Torque element support to 50 ± 5 in. lbs. when replacing element.
Element should be cleaned/replaced when the Differential Pressure
Indicator is completely red.
2. IF THE UNIT HAS A MANUAL DRAIN, DRAIN THE UNIT ONCE
EVERY 8 HOURS MINIMUM. If the unit is equipped with an automatic
drain, clean the screen around the drain. Clean screen by blowing off
with air gun.
3. When the bowl becomes dirty, clean with a clean dry cloth.
4. Before placing the unit in service, make sure that the bowl is securely
bolted in place.
