1. What made Danny Archer (DiCaprio) believe that God has forsaken Africa a long time ago?
- Danny Archer believed that God has forsaken Africa a long time ago due to the wars that has
happened, thinking that if God will ever forgive us and why will God want a place full of wars. Especially
when his parents died when he was only 10 years old. Her mother was raped and killed while her father
was decapitated and hanged from a hook in the barn.
2. What is your insight about Africa being the source of one the world’s most expensive stone yet
remain to be a very poor country?
- In my opinion, people of Africa use diamonds to protect their own country. They use diamonds to
purchase weapons from the government and other countries but in return they are filled with greed,
used by others and killed. They were focused on protecting their land that they have killed their own
kind and do bad things. Rather than improving their economy, they are destroying the country. Though
they are not the only one to blame, but also the government and the other countries. They are focused
on capitalism that in order to get what they want, millioms of innocent people get killed everyday.

3. Why are we suppose to intervene with the affairs of capitalist like Simmons and Van de Kaap so as
to end the exploitation to the African people most especially and to the people we are enslaved by
consumerism, commercialism and the like?
- Because the people of Africa are being forced to sell their labor power to capitalists such as Simmons
and Van de Kaap for less than the value of the commodities they produce with labor. There's too much
killings for small pieces of stone. And if you are caught stealing or if they feel like you are in their way,
you are automatically killed, not only from them but also from the rebels.

4. Financing war is just the means to an end for Archer (diamond smuggler), what is the real objective
of the capitalists?
- The real objective of the capitalists is who gets what, such as: oil, coltan, diamonds etc. They profit off
of it but their laborers get less while they get so much more. In this case, Simmons and Van de Kaap get
diamonds from Africa through their hired smugglers and laborers. Especially, when they heard of the
pink diamond as large as an egg. Rebels, capitalists, inoccents have fought for it.

5. Why is Solomon Vandy (Hounsou) confused with the answers of Archer (DiCaprio) as regards his
pursuit for money?
- I think that he is confused with the answers of Archer as regards on his pursuit for money because he
thought that if Archer has money, then Archer would have a wife and children. They were both confused
by Archer's statement because even though Archer may or may not have money, he still doesnt want or
have a wife and children.
