Course Plan of the MBM Program

MBM program constitutes a total of 66 credit hours. A student shall have to complete twenty (20)
courses (3 credit hours for each course). In addition to the required courses, every student must submit
a Dissertation (in the last semester) weighing 3 credit hours and appear at four viva-voce examinations
after semester I, II, III & IV weighing in total 3 credit hours. However, minimum 48 credit hours will be
required for completing the degree with a maximum waiver of 4(four) courses from the fundamental
courses only. Duration of the MBM program is twenty-eight months divided into five semesters. For
each course, there will be 42 hours of class lectures. The distribution of total credit hours is as follows:

Switching of a Student from MBM to MBM-

A student enrolled in MBM program can apply for

during his/her tenure in MBM program gets a job.
In that case, student does not need to take those
courses which have been completed by him/her
in the MBM program. All the results of the
completed courses (mid, term final exam and
other exams) will be incorporated for calculating
the MBM- Evening CGPA. A student switching to
MBM- Evening Program will attend the remaining
required viva-voce consecutively in a way that
includes viva-voce of term VII.

BIBM Confers an award name “AKN Ahmed Gold Medal” to one student from each batch of MBM & MBM
Evening Program. Scholarships from BIBM scholarship fund is available for MBM students in three
categories. These are (i) Merit Scholarship (ii) Financial Assistance; and (iii) Freedom Fighters Quota
Scholarship. Merit Scholarship is awarded to top three students of each batch in each term.
