Introduction
This document goes over the various System Settings for the Y-Flow™. The System Settings are primarily used to configure
communications. On-board communications such as serial, Ethernet and USB as well as the Y-Flow™ ESP Expansion cards
can all be configure through the System Settings. Other items can also be stored in the System Settings such as board/unit
serial numbers, temperature slope and offset, various passwords along with other functions. To access the System Settings
use either Virtual Keypad or the optional Keypad/Display.
1 – Press the configuration ‘conf’ button then the Function Key (Yokogawa Logo).
2 – Select System Settings by navigating with the up and down arrows and press enter “ent”.
4 – To navigate the System Settings use the arrow keys and/or the jump keys as shown in the chart below. If the
address of the System Setting is known then the user can press the Jump button and enter in the address in the
format of FPP.II, where F is the Family, PP is the Port and II is the Item.

| \ \--------------PP: Port – Port is referred to the communication port being used.
The System Family does not use ports, but is still represented by
numerical values. This will be explained later in this document.

The On-Board section consists of the System Settings for serial ports 1 and 2 located on the Y-Flow™ and serial ports 3
and 4 located on the Y-Flow™-Extender. This section uses addresses 1 through 4. The second section consist of the hard-
ware configuration for four E-ESP’s which are connected to the Y-Flow™ via I2C connection. This section uses addresses
101-104. The third section is the hardware configuration for the Y-Flow™ USB port. This section is addressed as 201. Sec-
tion four consist of the hardware configuration for Ethernet, addresses 301-308. The final section is the system level config-
uration with the address of 401.

The chart below shows the Items located in the On Board, ESP, USB and Ethernet Families. Each Item will be in the same lo-
cation under each Family and Port (FPP). Some Items are not used in some Families but they are left in the Item list so that it is
uniform throughout the System Settings.

The System Family is broken down into two sections (these sections are represented as PP in FPP), System General and Sys-
tem Ethernet. System General is represented as 401 for FPP and System Ethernet is represented as 402 for FPP. The Items
under these sections are different from the On Board, ESP, USB and Ethernet Families.
