BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES: Describe what the students will be able to do upon completion of the lessons. Something that can be
measured.
1. Students will play with good tone, style, articulation, and intonation
2. Students will listen to different members of the ensemble in a piece of music to play with group sound
3. Students will progress through the method book
4. Students will progress through their rhythm sheet
5. Students will review old music and be able to apply skills from their old music into their new music
INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Time: Introduction/anticipatory set- How will you start the lesson? How will you get the attention of the students? Include
your introductions!

Includes modeling, guided practice and independent practice. Instructional plan provides differentiation for diverse student

● Pack-Up Routine
○ Students are to pack up their instruments and return to their seat 2 minutes before
they are dismissed
ASSESSMENT: Written plan includes appropriate plans to assess prior knowledge, student understanding as lesson
proceeds, and each student’s achievement of learning objective(s).
● Formative Assessment
○ Randomly calling on students during the rhythm activity to see if they can count the
rhythm and clapping it as a class to hear what they do and do not understand.
○ Having individual sections play their parts so I can isolate problem areas and attempt
to fix issues.
RESOURCES/MATERIALS and CLASSROOM SET UP needs: Lesson plan indicates adequate planning for materials and
resources, and for safe and efficient management of materials.
