Children Bureau- Taft established it, investigated and publicized problems with child labor.
A damson Act- Wilson supported, established the eight hour work day, and gace compesation to who
ever worked over 8 hours.
Underwood Tariff Act- reduced the average tariff on imported goods , to about 30 percent of the value
of the goods.
Federal Trade Commission- At wilsons request it was created, monitored American business, had the
power to investigate companies and issue cease and desist.
Mann-Eakins Act-
New lands reclamation act- Authorizing the federal funds from public land sales to apply for irrigation
and land development projects.
Federal Reserve System- Wilson supported, would provide a financial cushion gainst unanticipated
losses.
Square deal-The Square Deal was President Theodore Roosevelt's domestic program primarily aimed at
helping middle class citizens. The policies of the Square Deal involved attacking the plutocracy and
trusts while at the same time protecting business from the extreme demands of unorganized labor.
New nationalism- Roosevelt wanted a federal trade commission to regulate industry.
New Freedom- Wilson, criticized Roosevelt program that supported controlled monopoly, he thought
that they should be destroyed.

voters can force a public vote
