Objective

 To get rid of unwanted items, decide what is needed and to be kept

 Visual sweeping - cleaning using our sensors i.e. sight, sound, smell,
taste, touch
 Physical sweeping - cleaning using physical effort i.e. cloth, broom,
dust pans etc

 To consolidate the first 3S’s by establishing standard procedures for


the first three S’s
 Determine the best work practices and find ways of ensuring
everyone does it in the same “best” way
