1) Draw- a desena ( to draw a house)

Sketch- a schița ( to sketch a picture )
Doodle- a mîzgîli (she*d doodled all over the books)
Scribble- a scrie neciteț ( There was a scribbed message on the back of the ticket)
Trace- a trasa o linie ( she traced a line in the sand)

2) Shine- a straluci ( the sun shone all aftenoon)

Blaze- a luci , a licari ( to shine brightly) the sun blazed down from a clear blue sky.
Dazzle- a orbi ( I was dazzled by the sunlight)
Glow- straluci ( produce a contimous light and smth heat) this substance is so radioactive that it
glows in the dark
Gleam- a scinteia, a sclipi ( produce, reflect a small bright light) he polished a table until it
gleamed
Glimmer- palpaire( shine with a weak light) The sky glimmered with stars.
Glisten- a straluci ( to shine by reflecting light from a wet or smooth surface) the grass glistened
in the early morning dew. His eyes glistened with tears.
Glitter- a sclipi( to produce a lot of small, bright flashes of reflected light) her diamond necklace
glittered brilliantly under the sportlight
Shimmer- a licari ( to shine in such a way that the light seems to shake slightly and quickly) She
could see her reflection in the water, shimmering in the moonlight
Twinkle0 a straluci ( of light or a shine surface) to shine repeatedly strongly then weakly, as if
flashing on and off very quickly. \the lights of the town twinkled in the distance.
Flash- a lumina, a straluci, exlozie de lumina ( to shine brightly and suddenly, or to make
something shine in this way) stop flashing that light in my eyes.

3)casa- home ( the senator has two homes – an apartment in Washington and a house in
Colorado)
Palat- palace( a royal/presidencial palace)
Castel- castle( windsor castle)
Conac- mansion ( loc de popas pentru calatori- casa boieresca)
Vila- villa ( we rented a holiday villa in Spain ) – vila de vacanta
Cabana- hut ( a mountain hut)
Coliba- masion ( adapost pentru oameni, rar pt animale)
Bordei- hovel( their house was little more than a hovel )- dirty, in bad condition
4) Frica- fear I have a fear of heights
Teama- fear
Neliniste- anxiety
Groaza- dread, he is dreding yhe exam
Teroare- terror, Heights have
Angoasa- anguish, in her anguish she forgot to leave a message
Inflorare- angst All children went trought a period of late- adolescent.
