Data Validation

Validation is an automatic computer check to ensure that the data is sensible and reasonable.
It does not check the accuracy of the data.
For example, validation could be used to ensure that when a credit card number is entered it
contains exactly 16 digits.

Types of Validation

Verification
The process of ensuring data is actually correct.
Examples: Entering data twice, comparison with originals, verifying with subjects
Verification Methods- Advantages/Disadvantages

Feedback Loop
A feedback loop is a common and powerful tool when designing a control system. Feedback
loops take the system output into consideration, which enables the system to adjust its
performance to meet a desired output response.
