TDH - total dynamic head
Hs - static head
Hp - pressure head
Hv - velocity head
Hf - friction head

 Definitions

Total Dynamic Head is the total height that a fluid is to be pumped, taking
into account friction losses in the pipe.
Static Head is the difference in elevations of the outlet versus the inlet
point of the system.
Suction Head is the vertical distance from pump centerline up to the
free level of the liquid source above the pump.
Suction Lift is the vertical distance from pump centerline down to the
free level of the liquid source below the pump.
Discharge Head is the vertical distance that pump may able to supply
the liquid.
Pressure Head is the change in pressure across the system.
Velocity Head is the energy loss into the system due to the velocity of a
liquid.
Friction Head is the energy loss due to resistance to fluid movement.
