Span and other dimensions


- The effective longitudinal span is 32.00 m, thickness of abutment = 1.0m, height of
abutment from the top surface of the base to the bearing surface = 5.400 m, width of
footing = 5.30m, thickness of footing = 1000 mm, heel length = 1.800 m, toe length
=2.50m.

Note: Use other design DATA from BS 5400.

Tasks

Design the deck slab, steel I-beams, abutments, foundations and elastometric bearing.

Design and detail the joint between longitudinal and transversal beams

Prepare the structural drawings of your designed bridge.
