Assignment Objectives:

Upon completion of this assignment you will be able:

• Navigate the CATIA V5 Interface.
• Setup CATIA V5 Environment Settings to enable proper design best practices.
o In this assignment, different environment settings will be changed within CATIA V5.
o These settings will be used throughout the course as the default standard.
o The relevance of these environmental changes will be discussed.

Summary of Tasks / Actions / Instruction:

1. Watch:
a. CATIA V5 Interface and Navigation
b. CATIA V5 Environment Settings & StartPart
(NOTE: the settings made are only valid on the machine you set them up on. They are not stored in the part file. You will have to set the
variables up on each different machine you utilize.)

2. Actions:
a. Review attached video demos and execute provided instruction.
b. Save the resulting part to Aras.

Submission Instructions:

1. Verify parts saved to Aras Innovator with proper naming convention

2. Promote parts to Released to submit for grading

Grading Criteria/Rubric:

Full credit will be granted upon correct and successful submission as prescribed above and by due date.
Partial credit will be given for partial completion.
Late assignment will receive a zero.
