Research Methodology
This research focuses on how important CALL is on improving oral communication skills
(OCS), furthermore to check whether the students use CALL in improving their oral
communication skills at undergraduate level in universities located in federal area of Pakistan.
Epistemological stance
Research Questions:
1. To what extent learners prefer CALL to develop oral communication skills (OCS) at
undergraduate level?
2. To what extent CALL is important in the development of oral communication skills
(OCS) at undergraduate level?
The significance of this research study is to highlight the effectiveness and importance of
CALL in the development of oral communication skills at undergraduate level. The study would
be useful for English language learners as it explains different applications and programs that are
helpful in learning of oral communication skills.
The study is however delimited to assess the effectiveness of CALL in the development of OCS.
In Pakistan, the computer technology is not widespread with all its implications, hence CALL is
a new term for language learner as well as teachers. Furthermore, there is the lack of available
resources to conduct the true experiment.

The present research will employ a quantitative methodology. It would adapt a survey design to
answer the concerned research questions

developed for the purpose.
