INTRODUCTION

PROJECT CONTEXT

Petdroid application provides support over a range of areas including feeding,

safety, health, and exercise to ensure optimal animal safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
Typical activities performed in this role are feeding animals, providing drinking
water, cleaning cages and facilities, administering medications when needed, stocking
supplies, leading meet and greets with potential adopters, and maintaining records. A
love of, and comfort around, animals is a must in this application.

Not every animal may be right for the person, so let us walk through the kinds
of questions to ask when choosing a pet. The needs and temperaments of animals very
greatly, as do those of the people who keep them.( For example, some animals are
better suited to pet keepers living in small quarters, such as apartments).When
choosing a pet, one of the most important things to consider is your lifestyle. Different
types of pets require amounts of attention and care.

This App is extremely popular in today’s digital marketplace, and the pet
industry is certainly feeling the growing influence of this technology. Many pet
businesses of developed companion apps to work in conjunction with their websites,
and some entrepreneurs have created stand-alone apps that are business in and of
them. While the pet app market is well populated, there is certainly still room for new
app development (even in the more popular categories).

“PETDROID: Pet Info and Tips Mobile Application” is the lists of different
types of pets such as cat, dog, rabbit, rat, fish, and bird. Each pet has hundred and
more breeds. It contains different types of pets, names, etc. This application can also
help the user to find a pet that fits for them. This application also allows you to take
care of your pets.

In the past, some pet lovers need to go to pet stores to search for pets. Some
need internet connection to search for set of pets. Some pet owners do not know how
to take care for their pets. Nowadays, many people want to have a pet but they not
know what it would be. Pets might have the ability to stimulate their caregivers, in
particular the elderly, giving people someone to take care of, someone to exercise
with, and someone to help them heal from a physically or psychologically troubled
past.

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

Currently, there are certain people who love animal. Some of them need to go
to pet shop to get some advice about information about pets. And they need to do a
research for the needed support about the pets. Others are reading some books,
magazines, and do a research to have some information and ideas on how take care
their pets. Before, pet owners need to go to veterinarian at least once a year so they
can find out whether they need to do those things to their pets. Veterinarian gives the
information to the person who has a pet to know what they need to do with their pets.
They also tell what they can do or not to their pets. If pet owners always go to clinic,
they spend a lot of money. With the help of this mobile application, finding pets that
would be best for user would become easier.

The pet owners and users would benefit from the proposed project because with the
help of the application owners have an idea on the proper way of taking care of pets.

The Veterinary user would benefit in this proposed project because their work became
easier, because the pet owner wouldn’t asked of what they need to do.

The study would help to gain more skills and additional knowledge in creating a
useful mobile application.

The study can be a reference or source of information to any other related studies.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

General Objective

The main objectives of the study is to develop an android based petdroid

application that will help the Muntinlupeños in searching and finding the clinic and
easy access of animal health care application.

Specific Objectives

 To design the proposed system using the following features.

 To develop an application that would help a user to know what the foods
needed to their pets.
 To enhance an application that would help the user to have an idea on what pet
the pet owners cared.
 To test the functionality and portability of the system using self-testing
methods.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

Scope Of The Study

This application give information to the user about pets and help the user to
know what are they do’ s and don’ts for the pets that they choose to take care of. The
proposed application has three (3) categories. The Pet module, Tips module, and
Don’ts module. Each of them has a different role. Below here are the function and
description of the said module:

PETS MODULE – This module shows the lists of different types of pets, such as cat,
dog, rabbit, rat, fish, and bird. Each category has 20 different kinds of breed. This also
gives the description of pets.

TIPS MODULE- This module shows the lists of different types of pets. It contains
tips for animals, on how you treat and take care of them.

DON’TS MODULE- This module shows the things that they do not need to do.

Limitation of the Study

The proposed project is an offline application where the users can easily find
a pet that fits for them and they do not need to search for their pets online. This
proposed application has 6 most common pets only, such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, rats
and rabbits. Each of pets has twenty (20) breeds. This application does not give the
user any lists of prescribed medicine in case they experience animal bites and in case
their pets get sick.
