Woodlands:
Our team decided that it would be a good idea to use this location for the ‘chase’
scene of our video where Sam is attacked. This location is a good setting for this
mood because it greatly contributed to setting the scene and creates the tense
feeling of the scene. There were no other locations that had the adequate
requirements that were needed for the scene to be to the high standard we wanted
which was a large amount of space for the chase between the victim and the villain
to take place, and also a location that had the potential to create a sinister feeling for
the audience.
The beginning of the scene will be Sam running at speed from criminals chasing him
and eventually being caught up to and attacked to death. We will be using two shots
for this scene – they will be firstly be shots from behind to put the view in more of the
characters perspective as they run through the forest. The second will be a pan shot
to show the speed of the run from a side-on perspective. This scene is shown to be
intense as all the different shots being used make it seem very dramatic and this
therefore fits with the genre action.
Public Park:
We decided that this also would be a good location to use for the scene where it
transitions from Lucas and Sam playing football in the park as kids to them playing
football in the park when they are grown up. The public park in Keston would be the
best looking and most convenient for us to use because it is a large open green that
allows us a load of space for us to play football and film the best-looking angles, this
area is very natural to film in because its real life situations happening all the time, by
filming in a park its show a much more real atmosphere and all the green and bright
lighting will be good for the shots.
The beginning of the scene will be Sam passing the football to Lucas, and then when
Lucas passes the football back it will transition as the ball comes to Sam’s feet for
when he is older, this shows that any age people still play football in the park,
showing what real life teenagers this then connects to the audience. The shots that
will be used will consist of long shots to show the pass of the football and also close
up of the ball of when they are kicking it and also mid shots of Lucas and Sam.
Alleyway:

The reason for using an alleyway in certain scenes is because it revolves around
danger and mystery as its dark and normally criminal activity happens in places like
this, which are drug deals and many other crimes, which are illegal. We will be
filming these scenes in the day and the night time.

This location will be used when filming the scene where many drug deals will be
made by Sam one of the main characters, this will be shown using a montage of
around 10 different deals being made using a close up of both of their hands, there
will also be intense rap music in the back, the location makes the scene more
realistic as this is where most drug deals are done as its very remote.

Side of Road:
We are using this setting for the scene at the beginning of the video to allow the car
to pull over and for the character played by Lucas to get out of the car and pull out a
weapon from the back. We will shoot this scene when it is dark to help the scene
comprehend more tension for the audience to feel present.
There will also be two types of shots used for this scene, the first one being low shots
to show the power and strength that the character will be feeling, and the second
being close-up shots to show the raw emotions that the character is feeling in the
moment. The scene is scene to be very intense and rapid as its very quick but effect
to the audience.
The office room
We are using this location for one of are scenes because it shows how the
story will change as the two characters Lucas and Sam are seen both having
an interview in this office this shows how the movie changes to much more
serious and formal as they are both dressed up in suits and looking smart
showing they are both going for similar job roles, but in this scene turns out
that only one of these brothers gets the job and the other then is shown to get
back into his old ways of doing criminal activity with the wrong crowd.
The types of shot of which we will be using for this scene is a mid-shot of the
office and the two characters this is so we can see the characters and the
surrounding so the audience know what atmosphere they are looking at. Also
a close up of both the characters face of when they get the news if they get
the job, this then shows the different emotions of which the characters will
portray as one being sad and then one being happy.
