CHAPTER 5

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of the research work undertaken, the

conclusions drawn by the researcher, and the recommendations made as an outgrowth

of this study. This study aims to determine the Status of Graduates of Baras Senior

High School.

Summary of Findings

Based on the data from the respondents in this study, the summaries are drawn:

1. Profile of the Respondents

1.1. Among the 40 respondents, 28 of them are Males while the rest 12 are

Females.

1.2. 15 of them are 18 years old while 12 are 19 years old. The other 13 are in

ages 20 years old and above and 17 years old and below.

1.3. 11 thousand pesos to 15 thousand pesos is the range of Monthly Family

Income of 21 from the respondents. It has an equivalent of 52.5 percent over all.

2. Status of Graduates of Baras Senior High School

 2.1. 9 out of 40 graduates pursue their study. 6 of them are enrolled in State

Universities while 1 is studying on one of the college schools in Manila. The rest 2 are

enrolled in others such as privates’ school. 7 of them are studying under the course of

Bachelor of Secondary Education while the other 2 are in Elementary Education. 5 of

them said that they are in first year college while the other 4 are on second year level.

2.2. 27 out of 40 graduates are now working. 18 of them work as Construction

Workers while 3 are Office Assistants, the rest 6 have other works. 25 of them work in

Local or here in the Philippines while the other 2 are working Abroad. 17 on the

graduates are now regular in their work while the rest 6 are Contractual, the other 4 are

maybe casual.

2.3 The rest 4 graduates out of 40 are engaged in business. All of them are not

Sole proprietorship or even in Partnership in terms of their Nature in Business, but in

Corporations. Also, all of them are employee on the business where they are engaged

to. 3 out 4 are in Business for 7 months to 1 year while the other 1 are in 1 to 3 years.

3. There is a significant relationship between the status of the graduates and the

profile of the respondents.

Conclusions

Based from the findings of the study, the following conclusions are drawn:

1. Not all Graduates pursue their study in college

2. Some of them are immediately find a work after they graduates in Senior High

School.

3. There are Graduates who engaged in business. The skills and knowledge they obtain

in Senior Years help them.

Recommendations

Bases on the findings and conclusions presented, the following

recommendations are suggested:

1. The researcher recommends that after graduating from senior high school, students

must be smart in choosing the career they will pursue and must consider their skill and

knowledge specifically.

2. The researcher recommends that graduates should make sure they are decisive in

their decision because it can affect them in the future.

3. The researcher recommends that skills and knowledge must be considered at all

time.
