On the capacity of the Coordinator of English Department Faculty of Art Udayana

University here with states that one of my alumni, name: ZELIA VITALINA P.
SARMENTO student’s register number 1601542029 has an intention to apply for GKS
scholarship in order to pursue her study in the level of Master Degree in one of the
university in South Korea. I have known her for three and a half years. Besides being the
coordinator of English department, I had the chance to teach her in class. She was in my
Speaking for Narration class. At that time, she was shy and lacked the confidence to talk
in front of the class. However, she never shy away from taking the initiative to talk in
front of the class in order to overcome her shyness. Her determination to improve herself
and hardworking made me gave her an A for that class. Throughout the year I saw how
she grows as a person and work hard to improve her weaknesses. Later, when I had the
chance to teach her again, I noticed that she now has the confidence to express her
opinions and ideas in front of the class. Furthermore, from this it can be seen that she is a
hard working student. So, I believe that it will be easy for her to adjust herself in the
program. In addition, she was an active student. She used to take the initiative to raise her
hand to either asking a question concerning my lecture or answering my questions.
Moreover, I noticed that during exam, she did her exam honestly without trying to use
demean method to cheat unlike the other student. She holds a high integrity in terms of
not cheating and does the paperwork without copying other sources. This showed that she
has a high integrity as a student Apart from that, she also has an English literature
background when she was in Bachelor level. Her result was excellent considering that she
was also working and partake in school activities. Her GPA was 3.89 and graduated with
honour. I am sure she will fit and be a great candidate for the scholarship as she was
proven to have a high quality as a student. May this statement be useful To Whom It May
