Work ability refers to one’s ability to cope with the demands of work, and it is t! cad definition than functional capacity. This study aims to assess the work ability of the small e farm workers in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. A cross sectional study was conducted amc :le farm workers between May and August 2018 using Work Ability Index (WAN). The result 1t majority of the respondents has “moderate” work ability (37-43 WAI scores), however, { Iysis revealed that the respondents has “poor” work ability (mean=35.6). ee Furthermore, it was aled that young adult has higher work ability compared to other age group (0.002), extra-lare mily size has lower work ability as compared to smaller family size (p=0.011) 1 farmers who has health insurance has higher work ability to those who have none (p=0.011).
