The Lost Dog

Paul and Albert are playing on the

vacant lot near their house when Paul
saw the tall grasses move.
“Look Albert, there is something
over there,” he said as he pointed in the
direction of the moving grass.
“Be careful, it might be a snake,” whispered
Albert.
Paul and Albert watched the grasses, until a cute
little dog with a long tail came out.
“A dog! We have a dog to play with,” said
Albert.
“Wait,” said Paul. “We have to think about
what we should do with this dog. First, this is not
our dog. Somebody owns this.”
“But we did not steal this from anyone,” said
Albert.
“But this dog has an owner, and we must find
the owner first before we can own it,” said Paul.
“You’re right,” said Albert.
