CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

For Solo Cosplay Category:

Resemblance of the costume, accessories, make-up

Contest Rules

1. Each contestant may only enter one costume into competition.

2. Each contestant may enter as an individual or as a group (keep in mind that there
may not be enough prizes for each member of the group).

3. Each contestant may only enter a handmade costume as opposed to a purchased or


commissioned costume.

4. No explosive or other similar special effects are allowed.

5. No messy substances are allowed.

6. Every part of each contestant’s costume must leave with him or her after the walk-on
or skit is completed.

6. No profanity, political, or religious statements or signage are allowed during


the contest.
7. Each contestant or group is only allowed one walk-on or one skit (3 minutes or
under). This may include 1-3 minute walk-ons, character scene re-enactments, and
skits.

8. Contestants will be judged according to their costume’s resemblance to the character


it is based on, representation of their costume, and craftsmanship skill.

ON COSTUMES, PROPS AND ACCESSORIES

1. We highly value decency, therefore, costumes that reveal private parts or display nudity will
be disqualified from the competition.
2. Props such as (but not limited to) swords, blades, and knives are to be made from non-metallic
materials. Metal objects are not allowed to have sharp blades nor sharp edges.
3. Real weapons are strictly not allowed in the premises of the event. Getting caught with such
are to be immediately escorted out and will be disqualified.
4. We reserve the right to check all the props and accessories of all participants. If any
irregularities that violate the rules are found, the participants in question will be disqualified.
5. Any type of pyrotechnics attributed to either costumes or props are strictly not allowed.
6. Cosplayers should be responsible for their costumes at all times.

MECHANICS

1. Only participants who have passed the initial screening and audition will be allowed
present on stage to compete for Cosplay Clash 2015.
2. Cosplayers may ONLY cosplay any OFFICIAL champion, OFFICIAL champion skin, or
any in-game character from League of Legends. Any other cosplay aside from League of
Legends related characters will merit automatic disqualification. Gender bend cosplays will
NOT be allowed, however, cross-dressing will be permitted.
3. There will be a Cosplayer's Lounge which will serve mainly to allow cosplayers to rest and
fix costumes. However, ONLY (1) assistant per cosplayer will be allowed. The comfort
room will be near the area for accessibility.
4. All cosplayers must be present in the Cosplayer's Lounge in full costume 15 minutes
before the scheduled stage presentation for Cosplay Catwalk verification. Failure to
verify and confirm their participation to the event marshal assigned at the cosplay holding
area may result in disqualification.
5. Cosplay catwalk/skit must be kept wholesome. Skits and/or dialogues which are deemed lewd,
obscene, vulgar, and/or inappropriate will be disqualified. Skits involving extreme fan service
should be avoided. Keep the performances appropriate for the general audience.
6. Cosplayers who registered for the Individual Cosplay Category are NOT restricted to join the
Group Cosplay Category, however, this must be finalized even before the scheduled audition.
7. The final results will be announced during the same day of the competition.
8. We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.

For Solo Cosplay Category:

1.
1. Each participant is limited to only (2) minutes maximum time to perform a
catwalk/short skit during the judging performance. Should a participant exceed the
allocated time, points shall be deducted from the cosplayer's total score.
2. Participants are allotted a maximum of (2) human props onstage and shall be
held responsible for securing props at all times, and cleaning any mess they left at the
stage.
3. Participants must provide an audio soundtrack on the day of the audition.
