OF THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER No. 030-2017 AN ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER REORGANIZING THE LOCAL PRICE COORDINATING COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF LA TRINIDAD, PROVINCE OF BENGUET WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7581 mandates the creation and active involvement of the Local Price Coordinating Council to ensure the availability of basic necessities and prime commodities at reasonable price at all times and provide protection of consumers; WHEREAS, the Local Price Coordinating Council of the municipality which was created by virtue of Administrative Order No. 7, 5.1995 was subsequently amended to change some members who are no longer with the institution/agency they are representing: WHEREAS, due fo the election conducted in May, 2016, there is a need to reorganize the Local Price Coordinating Council of the municipality to change some of the members and /or include additional members; NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROMEO K. SALDA, Municipal Mayor, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Law, do herby reorganize the Local Price Coordination Council of the Municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet as follows: Section |. The Municipal Price Coordinating Council shall perform the following functions: 1. Coordinate and rationalize the programs to stabilize prices and supply of members agencies in the Municipality of La Trinidad; 2, Recommend to the Provincial Price Coordinating Council or to implementing agencies suggested retail prices and or the price ceiling for certain basic necessities and/or prime commodities in their respective areas; 3. To report and make the necessary wamings to establishments violating the Price Act, Consumer Act and other laws relative to the protection of consumers against illegal manipulation; 4, To conduct in-depth analysis on causes of price fluctuations; 5. To recommend actions/steps to correct unwarranted price increases and supply shortages. 6. In times of crisis, calamity or state of emergency, shall convene immediately after the concurrence of such crisis to coordinate the implementation of rules, but not limited to emergency measures such a: - Price/supply monitoring activities of basic and prime commodities should be conducted immediately following the calamity or state of emergency. Frequency of price/supply monitoring may be increased. Only items with price change and supply problems should be reported. - Reports must be submitted to the secretariat of the PPCC for coordination. Frequency of the price/supply report may be reduced as soon as prices and supply situation have stabilized. Section 3. EFFECTIVITY. This Administrative Order shall take effect immediately and shall be valid until amended or revoked. Issued this 14! day of July, 2014 at La Trinidad, Benguet. MEO K.
