What do you like most about being a scholar in this institution


Answer: Education is both a right and a privilege. I have practiced my right to be educated not just in school
but also by experience and being a scholar in this institution provided me the privilege to acquire the
knowledge that I could use to have a brighter future ahead of me

2. What makes you unique among all the students of HNU?


Answer: I believe that i am a person who never gives up on my dreams and never lose myself no matter
how many obstacles I get in my life. I know a lot of people are like this but the i have unique stories to tell
how I survived each obstacle. The fact that I am standing here in front of you and share myself, I believe
it makes me unique.

3. What advice can you give to those out of school youth who are willing to study but don’t have the
opportunity
Answer: I would like to encourage them to never give up. Opportunities are everywhere and they should have
the will to look for it. The can use their talents and brains to earn scholarship. They can do part-time jobs. Sell
something. Look for sponsors. The government also has programs for people like them. I would just like to
remind them that education is important not only to make you a better person but to have a better life.

4. If you could meet any person in history, who would it be?


Answer: I would like to meet our very own national hero Jose Rizal. I would like to tell him that many people
nowadays are losing hope for the filipino youth which contradicts his thought about us being the hope of the
nation. I would like to apologize him for that, but at the same time I want to tell him that there are still those
youths who think about the future and the nation. Even if they are only a small percentage of the population I
want ask his faith and trust for these kind of youth.

5. Do you consider yourself as kabataan, pagasa ng bayan, why?

Answer: The youth will be the ones who will be leading the world in the future and the future depends on how
the youth of today is well prepared. And as a youth who works hard to achieve excellence not only in school
but also in life, I consider myself one of the hopes of our nation.

6. If you could be anyone else besides yourself who would it be and why?
Answer: As a man i would like to become my father. Not in a physical way but in traits. He's a great role
model to me. The way he took a stand for his family to show his love, care and support is enough reason
for me for wanting to become like him.

7. What can be your greatest contribution to the community as a scholar student?


Answer: Even before I became a proud member of the performing scholars of HNU chorale, and up
until now - I have been conducting summer class for singing for the kids in our community at maribojoc.
and it’s one of the greatest feelings to know that I am making a difference for these kids. Volunteering is
a great opportunity for ourselves but the best part is knowing you are doing something for others

8. Tell us about the challenge you experienced as a scholar and how did you overcome it?
Answer: For me, being a scholar is already a challenge as it is. You need to properly balance the time you
allocate between your studies and to your duties and responsibilities as a scholar. And speaking from
experience, hard work, diligence, self-discipline, patience, and perseverance are all what it takes to overcome
the challenge of being a scholar.

9. Tell us about your biggest disappointment as a scholar student and how you bounced back from it?
Answer: The biggest disappointment I have as a scholar is the great amount of time it demands to be effective
and efficient both in your studies and to your duties and responsibilities as a scholar. But I bounced back from
it by taking it as challenge to push myself to the limits of my capabilities. And speaking from
experience, hard work, diligence, self-discipline, patience, and perseverance are all what it takes to overcome
the challenge of being a scholar.

10. What do you think is the biggest problem of the youth facing today?
Answer:. Even at the earliest of ages, children are partaking in adult activities with serious consequences
such as alcohol and drugs, sexual acts even thinking too much about love life. Teen-age pregnancies
increasing a lot. The concept of childhood is literally being wiped out. I think that the biggest problem of youth
nowadays is growing up too fast.

11. Have you experienced criticism? How did you handle it?
Answer: I have always faced criticisms my whole life but I’ve always handled them in the most positive way as
possible. Criticisms are not meant to bring us down but instead to help us to improve our flaws and enhance
our strengths in order for us to become the best version of our selves
12. Tell us about the time you to overcome peer pressure to do the right thing?
Answer: Paghuna2 og mga peer pressure nga experience nya kani isumpay... If your friends are always
bugging you to do something you’re not comfortable with, remember that true friends like you for who you
are, not who they want you to be.

13. Do you think all persons in authority deserve your respect at all times?
Answer: My parents taught me to give respect to street people the way I should respect people in authority.
Anyone whether in authority or not deserve respect until the time they show they don’t deserve it Everyone
deserves a basic level of respect, but beyond that respect must be earned regardless of one’s status in life.
14. What makes you more beautiful or handsome, being intelligent or unique?
Answer: I believe that being intelligent makes a person more handsome. Because i believe that you can face
everybody even if you don't have a talent but you can face everybody if you have the brain

15. Is social media bringing people together or causing separation?


Answer: Social media brings us together as it puts us in touch with the people all over the world. But it also
pushes us further from each other because we spend most of our time communicating with people far from us,
while forgetting the ones that are close to us, even the ones we live with. Social media does draw us nearer
and distances us at the same time! But in the end, it is up to us to choose what is does to our lives.

16. What is the one thing we would not know about you just by looking at you?
Answer: I may be standing comfortably in front of you but what you do not know is I also have my own
struggles of insecurities. But I am here in front of you standing proud to say whatever your insecurities are in
life, embrace them. They make you who you are and you do you.

17. Are you in favor of legalizing same sex marriage in the Philippines even if you are a student in a catholic
institution?

18. How would you promote HNU league of scholars to incoming freshman.
Answer: I would like to tell them that Scholars are those of us who go beyond our comfort zones and
seek out resources and solutions. Also, having discipline is an important part of being a scholar. Having
the power to master difficulties and knows the important choices that come first. Our workloads give us
time to make our self educated and at the same time we can give something and we can participate as
colleagues in our institution.
When you put your mind to something, greatness can be achieved and success can happen.

19. How can you help those students who are suffering from depression.
Answer: I could help people with depression by simply being available for them. I'd be willing to Listen and
understand them without judgments and I will not see them as a burden. I want to break the stigma of
depressed people being afraid of asking for help because that help is what they needed the most.

20. Why do you deserve to win mr and ms scholar 2019.


Answer : should be the Mr. Scholar 2018 because i believe that I have shown the persistence and
passion for education. I did something where so many people didn't have the courage to do so. And if I
were to win, i would like to become an ambassador of good will and character not just to the scholars but
to all students. When you struggle in every point of your life aiming at your goal that makes you a winner.
Win is not an end my dear friend.. Win is a start something beautiful.
