Step 1:
Extract all files/folders to your hard drive:
Block libraries can also be put in another location (i.e. server) to be accessed by
multiple CAD users.
Step 2:
Print out the "fittinglegend.dwg" file and keep close for reference.
This file describes how most all the blocks have been named.
Step 3:
Print out this text file and keep close for reference.
Start AutoCAD. Under "tools" choose "design center" (or ctrl + 2).
Within the DESIGN CENTER dialog box, under "Folder List" browse to the location you
extracted the block libraries to.
After choosing the block library catagory you want, (example: Block-Library>2d-
hvac-library>duct-fittings>rectangular>6inch)
you will see all the blocks that are available.
To insert a block into your drawing, simply select, drag and drop into your drawing
file.
Enter scale (or press enter key for 1-1), and rotation angle.
All blocks will be placed true to scale and will take on the atttributes (color,
weight, style) of your current layer settings.
Only a small sample of blocks are given for you to try out.
These are the blocks you get and their cooresponding folder catagory:
2D Annotation-Library:
2D-annotation-library>north-arrows...
2D HVAC-Library:
2D-hvac-library>duct-fittings>rectangular>6inch...
2D-hvac-library>duct-fittings>round>6inch...
You can also view thumbnails of the blocks by the selecting "large icons" option
within design center.
And you can create tool pallette's of any folder by right clicking on the folder.
Most all pipe fittings were created with orgin points set to pipe center lines.
Create your pipe center lines first, then add the pipe fitting blocks.
