In the early stages, you might like to create a mind-map such as this to note down all your initial
thoughts around your extended essay topic. There’s no right or wrong information to put in a
mind-map. It’s about getting your ideas onto paper and allowing you to explore a number of
different avenues for further research. You can include this as part of your Researcher’s
Reflection Space.
