 Conclusion:

Retailers can be valuable partners in building a sustainable local energy efficiency market. They
have well- established brand names and central store locations that provide partner contractors and
programs with credibility and better access to customers.

Retailers primarily generates revenues through a product-based sales model

rather than a service-provision model. Retailers are purchasing small retailers with the hopes of
enlarging their footprint at the local level. A retailer’s brand is one of its most critical assets. It is
highly valuable in driving consumer demand and consumer confidence in the retailer’s goods and
services.

 Suggestion:

For a retailer, I suggested following tips for a successful business:

 Excellent customer service is the key to increasing sales. Listen to your customer to
understand their needs and wants. Then educate him/her about the products. Finally, let the
customer know you appreciate their business. Offer value-added services and products..
Remember, the customer is looking for an experience and not just a product.
 Create a budget, know where every dime is being spent, keep an eye on cash flow, and
control inventory. t doesn't matter how unique and wonderful your store is, your business
can't survive without cash flow. Money coming in your store is the vital component that
keeps your business financially healthy.
 When purchasing and pricing products, be sure you've considered the cost of goods and
that your retail shop is able to make a profit at that price point. Your product price should
be competitive, but still profitable. Ultimately, the right price is the price the customer is
willing to pay for the product.
 You should advertise more about your business then it will help you to find out more
customers.
 Give your employees the opportunity for growth, treat them fairly, pay them what they're
worth, and they will help make your business successful.
