Reflection paper

Adolescence is a time of tremendous turbulence and perplexity for anyone who has
been and still in this stage of life. For the information’s I have gathered regarding the
changes of those whose ages are under the three (3) phases/stages of adolescence such
as the early, middle, and late adolescence, here are my analysis, interpretation, and what
I have erudite from them.

The stepping stone, where and when the increasing change in adolescent’s physical
attributes as well as establishing themselves as unique individuals is called Early adolescence.
In the interview I conducted, I noticed that physical changes do really appear, and it
focuses more on themselves than awareness of the surroundings. Anyone who is in this
point compare themselves to others as they see this as comparisons. Since it is too young,
maturity is still in the process.

Next step is the middle adolescence. I noticed that some of my cousins specifically
the one I interviewed really do increased in height which is the effect of this stage. Wide
range of mindset is applied which is a good thing. Maturity level is as is. Less concern
about physical changes but more on personal attractiveness. This is where the stage of
curiosity and experimentation.

Last stage is the late adolescence where the preparation for future role and goals
is established. I interviewed my cousin who is graduating now so she is preparing and
seeking advice for facing the real world that is waiting. In this stage, the development is
done and should be mentally, physically and spiritually prepared.

The adolescent stage is one of the critical stages of life. Adolescence are in a
stage full of uncertainties; therefore, teenagers feel the need to find something that they
can cling to which would make them feel like they belong somewhere or to something in
the society. And I do hope that for all this that I noticed, I would be aware of what
should be done and not. How will I interact to the people who is in the different stages
of adolescence? I do hereby acknowledge maturity and to seek guidance in stage of life to
the Heavenly God.
