Since 2006, a first modernized University was born, which begin a new area in business
activity the corporation manages until now. On 2018, FPT has trained more than 36635
trainers on the whole FPT education system, 18 universities and training organization was
built over 13 years. Only for education part, FPT gained 1376 billion VND in 2018, having
the highest growth rate from the two others area.

In 2018, total students attend in the FPT education is 19380, more than 200000 FPT staffs
finishing their training periods. With 30 years working in technology area, the corporation
has determined human resource is the important factor will enhance business performance.
Therefore, the firm is tried to make FPT staff creative, more chance to develop themselves by
building a professional working environment, equip more facilities,…

During 5 years recently, the firm decides to load

staff in Tech increase dramatically 45.6%. In
addition, 62% is accounted for total FPT staff,
5% which is 17338 people working in FPT has
bachelor degree. Each year, FPT wants to recruit
Technology 2000-2500 students to be an official IT staff for the

However, that is only for FPT Corporation, if we take a look in the IT training in a whole
country Vietnam, there are more than 70 university teaching IT as a major for students but
does the IT students really qualified to work as a programmer or a software engineer? FPT
Software Chairman responds for VTV about IT students in Vietnam: more than 40000
students graduate each year and only 4000-5000 of them are good enough to take a job in IT
field, 1% are able to work in global market like America, Korea, Japan,… He also point out
the number of IT Vietnamese students is an advantage, exceeding Japan and even America,
moreover, the labor cost is not expensive than other friendly neighbor. The biggest drawback
for IT students is lack of knowledge, to be a rookie programmer they have to master in
coding, database. Unfortunately, Vietnamese students are not understand deeply the standard
knowledge. One of the feature in IT students is the interest in approaching the new, the
students can easily comprehend the basic theory in AI, IoT,… The factor could be change not
just only by students themselves, but also the education system to adjust the training network.
