SUMMARY OF CHRISTIAN VISION OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

Family is where we grow but viewing it from a Christian perspective, it is more than just

a term “family”. They are the ones who teach us the value of unity, the importance of life, how to

interact with the people surrounding us and brings us closer to our Father. The principles of unity

originate from the mutual love between the wife and the husband of the family living together

cultivated in love. The unity within the family is a covenant and a sacrament that manifests

absolute, total, faithful and permanent love of God reflecting in the family through the spouses.

The Holy Trinity is the ideal sample of this unity where there is one mystery of the Holy spirit,

The Father and The Son being the loving plan of God to us.

As an agent of life, once the spouses reach the fullness of their marriage sacrament

through the proliferation or the transmission of human life through the sacred act of intersection.

This openness to life is an emblem of marriage in love with selfless giving that will be extended

to their children. The responsibility of a Christian parent does not end in the transmission of life

but still continues as they grow older such as providing for the education of their off-spring since

everything starts within the family. An education to accentuate the intellectual competences and

establish the virtues to be encompassed as they start to explore within the community to the

people the children will be interacting with.

 The family as a part of a community, they are expected to be of service not only for the

neighborhood but also for the people residing within the area to promote the dignity of each

member of the family. This act of service is practiced within the family through the authority in

the circle which set standards for moral conduct of each individual. In line with this, family as an

agent of evangelization highlights the unique role of each member in the community of life and

love as the circle live up to the Church’s mission of evangelization to promote the Culture of life.

VISION/MISSION OF AN IDEAL MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

A selfless marriage in love with God as the center of spouses to be the foundation of a family

built with virtues as one to inspire the people around us through service and kindness to the

community.
