An Evocation of the demon

This evocation is meant to be flexible and simple, but have an air of ritual and ceremony. I base

my art largely on loose intuitive chaos principles, and this is meant to be a general framework of

what I do, to be treated as a kind of performance art that empowers the effect or contact you want to

manifest.

It is up you YOU to do the relevant Research into Malphas and conduct the ritual

accordingly. There are details I am omitting here, because they are publicly available to you, and I

do not want to taint your gnosis of this being with my own beyond giving you a workable ritual to

perform.
 I am a FIRM believer that he sorcerer must be knowledgeable about what they are doing,

and not simply be reading Latin sounding gibberish someone else wrote, even if it’s great Latin

gibberish. So all my work is in plain English. All of my rituals are simplistic. And I will NEVER

EVER use anything from Solomon, or treat these beings in a manner not appropriate to their station.

This can be used by a beginner, but you will need to do a lot of research on your own this is

NOT a complete grimoire document in any sense of the word. It is simple, but that means you need

to know how to work with the energies and the intuitive nature of chaos magick already. I assure

you, even if you don’t know what you are doing, you might make contact, just by your intention

and using this to the best of your ability. But the more you know, the better!

ADULT FICTION, because we all know that science has disproven the existence of any kind of

supernatural or magick and what I do with this information is really just a form of performance

art. Just because I see shit when I do it, doesn’t mean it does anything. With that out of the way

– let’s begin!
 Step one – Prepare yourself and
the ritual area

I like to work outside unless the spirit prefers another setting. Create for yourself a ritual circle

and triangle of manifestation according to whatever tradition you are comfortable with (with a circle

or without for example, use whatever circle format you like). I use a circle, but unless I’m dealing

with enemy spirits, I treat it as an energy collector and battery. Things I wish to empower, or draw

power from come into the circle with me, the things I want to manifest or empower go into the

triangle of Arte/manifestation triangle.

Optimally, try to Align your setup so you are facing either one of Malphas planets (mercury

or Saturn), OR face north, the generic direction for all demons.

I am a big fan of S. Ben Qayins study of Angles and their impact on ritual energy working,

so my ritual setups typically look like his or variants thereof. His basic Trinity of Triangles and

circle combo is excellent, easy to set up anywhere, and has a wonderful energetic and artistic

balance about it.

But you can, and should, come up with your own set up based on your experiences. With or

without whatever elements you decide. Technically you can do this naked in an empty room… but

some of us need props. I say the more special I make it, the more I put into it, the more I get out of

it.

If it is your custom take a cleansing bath or shower after whatever fashion you prefer. I see

little reason for this in our modern expression of the arts, though I wouldn’t ever do a ritual in dirty

clothes smelling like a day at the fish market. Sea Salt baths, or other mineral baths are good, as are

sage fumigation bathes and other self purification rituals.

 Optimal ritual tools

This is what I prefer to have on hand and use as part of my ritual for Malphas, none of this is
REQUIRED, but it is considered optimal, you can feel free to change or add or remove anything

you see fit, the important part is the intention:

Seal of Malphas – Light blue, or Black ink/permanent marker, lovingly illustrated on small

6x6 sheet of paper or parchment. Attention to Detail is important here, but nobody makes it perfect

either. This will be charged as part of the ritual. You can either retain this seal for use again later, or

burn it with permission of the spirit to dismiss them respectfully, if they do not want you to burn it,

then ask them what you should do with it, and abide by it. I generally retain sigils of any allied

spirit that I plan to call on again, or who is carrying out a task for me, burning it respectfully and

solemnly when the working is done. The burning of the sigil should NEVER be done as a threat,

unless you basically want to piss them off and you better know how to deal with that if you do it.

Two Blue Candles (or large black if blue isn’t on hand) – These will be placed inside the

circle, preferably upon your alter, on either side of your Sigil. These can be adorned with sigils as

well, or left plain, I would advise to give these candles to Malphas and only use them with him in

the future so marking them somehow can be a good idea.

Statue or figure of something you think represents Malphas – I like a raven statue. This

will be placed in the manifestation triangle, or wherever you want to focus malphas manifestation.

This can even be in the circle on your alter behind the sigil if you prefer. Make sure you try to place

the statue on a pedestal or other tower like prominence, Malphas likes towers.

Scrying device – This can be a crystal ball, scrying mirror, bowl of water, or some other

reliable scrying device. Malphas can and will give you visions as part of his archetypal powers of

scouting and intelligence gathering. This may also be where he appears for you.

Black Feather – This one can be hard to obtain, it SHOULD be one you find yourself. But

if you already have one for any other reason it can be used, just don’t buy one just for this. It means
more if you find it yourself. If it’s from a raven or other Corvus species even better. The genus

Corvus, includes jackdaws, crows, rooks, and ravens. What you do with this is up to you, wear it in

your hair, place it on the sigil, or on the statue, or just have it in your hand. Whatever feels right.

Offering bowl (optional) – Sacrifice nothing to Malphas, he will accept sacrifices gladly

then deceive and trick you for more. Instead, offer him things he likes as a gracious host might do,

to make their guest feel at home. Nuts, berries, or juice are adequate. Later if he completes a task

for you and you have made a deal to pay him with someone material, it can go into this bowl to

reward him. I believe Malphas prefers hand made objects as he has a strong connection to men and

women of Artifice (IE skilled craftsman), or tasks, rather than things you can buy or collect.

Carving him a figurine, or creating a painting are more to his liking than giving him something you

bought.

Incense – Malphas likes many fragrant incenses. But I also believe that incense selection

should be based on your intuition a bit. My research suggests the following – Anise, Crabgrass,

Sandalwood, Star Anise, Styrax/Storax, Bayberry, Fennel, Dill, Lavender, Sage, Wintergreen,

Valerian, Cinnamon.

Incense burner – This should be some kind of cast iron or other suitable receptacle filled

with sand or sea salt that can be used to burn incense, offerings, and sigils in. IF you are in a

location where you can have open flame such as a camp or bonfire, you should still use an incense

burner as well.

Ritual program

Optimal time – After dark (Malphas is a nocturnal entity), Favorable in all of October, most
favorable between the 3rd and 7th of October, or 9-20th of April.
 First you will charge the sigil with your intent, and with energy fitting the Demon. How you

do this exactly on an internal level is up to you. I like to visualize him, intone his name, and enter a

state of Gnosis with him as my focus, with the intent of attracting him to interact with me.

Thus sit in meditation with your gaze locked on the Sigil, while charging the sigil,

chant/intone the name of Malphas 39 times in a deep clear voice or silently to yourself. It’s ok if

you lose count, but go for an honest 39 count. Don’t distract yourself with counting in any way, but

try to get it close. When you are finished chanting if the sigil is not yet charged, remain in

meditation, if the sigil is ready, stand and continue to the next step.

Stand with your arms outstretched and imagine them to be the wings of a great crow of

raven. Head bowed, Eyes either closed, or locked on the sigil or Figurine. Imagine as you call the

following evocation, all the energy you have been building up in the circle, is now being sent into

your manifestation triangle, or other manifestation focus (for example the statue).

Call or intone the following on the next pages – either out loud in a clear resonant tone, or

silently but either way, when you speak, you should hear your voice as a great booming sound in

your minds eye, even if you are whispering.

The one with Azure Eyes…

Malphas come to me! Come to me so that I may hear you, and see you, take form in the

location provided. With kind humility, I await your presence (it’s OK and smart to give a time

limit here, I will often say until my current incense and or the candles have burned/blown out.)
 You may now return to a normal posture (instead of the bird stance) - If Malphas does not

appear to you within the allotted time, politely thank him and make any statements you wish,

knowing he or one of his 40 legions has heard you and will deliver your words to him… but he

himself has chosen not to appear, or was needed elsewhere. Then continue on to the dismissal.

While you wait, you may sit or stand, but make sure you do so in observant contemplation,

focus your intent on any of the focal point items, such as the sigil, the figurine, or scrying device, as

well as simply being alert to anything real or imagined.

Subtle signs - Example signs sudden wind, the sound of birds (esp crow or raven), blue

candle/s suddenly blow out, or blaze brightly. Many will see the statue move. You may feel a

presence, see clouds of color (light blue, Yellow, Green, Purple), or hear a voice other than your

normal inner monologue.

Once you have reliable sign, conduct whatever business you wish, be clear, be polite, spend

some time in communion and fellowship and then dismiss him:

Malphas, I thank you for your council, and presence, I ask you to come again when next I call,

and please do so readily and I shall be grateful.

Opt 1: You can go now, with my gratitude.

Opt 2: You may remain by my side as an ally and welcome friend, but respect my need for

peace and privacy. Stay as long as you like, until you are ready to depart, or I have need of

you to leave.

Raise arms in sign of bird posture again, and bow head, hold this for 3 seconds.

Clear and disperse any latent intention or energy as needed.
