Good afternoon everyone!

Our third LAC session on September 5, 2019 started at 10:55 in the morning. It started with a prayer led by
Ma’am Lawrence Mae Pamotillo. Then, it was followed by the reading of the previous minutes of the meeting
by the LAC Session secretary. The first agenda was facilitated by Ma’am Colleen Hyacinth B. Cabayao with the
topic, Assesment. Ma’am Cabayao started the group discussion by asking, “why do we assess?” there was also
a pre-test related to the topic and why should classroom assessment be given to our students. She further
discussed about the Table of specification, item analysis, formative and summative assessments as well as the
rubrics. After ma’am Cabayao’s topic, it was followed by the next agenda by Ma’am Natividad de los Santos,
discussing the topic on Guidance and Counselling. The discussion started about the ideas on guidance and
counseling and some related experiences regarding disciplinary action implemented to our students inside the
classroom. One of the topic’s important points is—counselling is part of guidance and when giving some pieces
of advice to our learner, we should present several options, and then let our learner decide for his/her own
good. Ma’am de los Santos further discussed about the guidance services that a school should offer. After the
second agenda, ma’am Mercy Grace Parreno, our OIC-School Principal III offered her words of thanks to the
discussants as well as sharing her thoughts that we, teachers, need also guidance and counselling because of
the prevalent issues on mental health. For the other matters, ma’am Helen Panes, our Administrative officer
reminded about the filling of leave such as the sick leave which will filed immediately after your absence and
personal leave which will follow the official time. Without further questions and clarifications, the LAC session
ended at exactly 12noon.

Thank you very much.
