NORMS OR ETHICS OF THE CLAN OR FAMILY
Research reveals that there are conventions which were traditionally set up to bind and uphold the values to denote
and dictate the practices within the clan for the purpose of uniqueness. Our Clan , like any other clans in the country
believed in a traditional way of worshipping but with the coming of churches most clan families are now denominated into
different churches of christianity.The norms include that a clan offspring is not tolerated to practice unorthodox means of
gaining wealth like juju, else the subsequent repercussions to him or her will be blindness over some time or will be
physically incapacitated in such a way that he/she will not be able to walk for the rest of his/her life(i.e kana kuremara
makumbo zvekutadza kufamba zvachose) or encounter a longtime and regrettable suffering before death. Stealing ,
unwarranted killing and Eating the totem is also taboo to every family member, though there are notable elders who
violated these ethics and repercussions were testified and some are still manifesting within some clan families and most of
those elders are no more and some have since rushed to hibernate in churches. A family member is encouraged to
genuinely work for his/her well-being without any wicked infringements to the survival of other clan offsprings. Members of
the clan are encouraged to love one another irregardless of the individual family a member belongs hence one TOTEM
one FAMILY.
