REFLECTION

(ARCHITECTURE)
Architecture is considered to be one of the most functional branches of
the visual arts. This architecture mostly sees in our surrounding because
it involves designing the form of building and homes. In Philippine
history, Filipino architects introduce innovations in creating building and
large structure even though local materials were used. I also learned the
forms of architecture these are the following;
In Domestic Buildings and Houses includes Apartment it refers to a
building composed of many residence called unites. Bahay na bato
considered to be a residence of the wealthy. Generally has a ground
floor that made of brick or stone and has a wooden upper level. Barong
barong are house of the poor that are built on any land or area.
Bungalow this refer to a one-story house with a wide front porch and
large windows. In Ethnic house includes Bahay is considered as an
ethnic house of Christian peasant families living in the lowland area.
House boat a boat that also serves as a dwelling. One-and-a-half Story
House is characterized by an upper level or story covering just a half of
the lower level. Tsalet refers to a suburban house that has one story, a
two story house with living quarters on the upper level or an elevated
one-story house. In Commercial Buildings include Market (Palengke)
refers to a place or building for buying and selling goods.
REFLECTION
(LITERATURE)

Literature is considered to be a whole bulk of written works. In


political issues the creative writing was to be confrontational in
highlight just like the martial law and the EDSA revolution during 1986.
This creative writing was organized during that time. Specially those
academic institutions it become degree program. Literature refers to
work showing ideas and emotions that are creatively thought. In
performing this arts are include musics, dance, theater and
cinema/film.
In the Philippines, this performing arts has develop further and
influence by different various. Song, dance and film was influence in the
American and also in the Europeans. But in performing this art should
be involve the Elements and its types. Plot is a sequence of events in
the story, character is the most important in play it can be a person or
an animal’s acted in the story. Setting is the time and place in the story.
There are a lot of elements are involved but need to ensure that should
applied.
Reflection
(Music)

I learned in music, which is defined as arrangement of sounds to create a


continuous and unified composition. There are elements to create on it. These
elements of music and different traditions in the Philippines will help in
appreciating that contemporary Philippine music is varied from one region to
another. The elements are; Melody refers note/tone changing in pitch and
duration. Rhythm refers to a pattern in time. Harmony refers to combination of
different tone. Texture refers to the relationship of melodic and harmonic lines in
music. Dynamic refers to the degree of softness and loudness of music. Timbre
refers to quality of sounds and the last one is Form, refers to a music are
organized.
In the Philippines, there are 3 kinds of music these are ethnic traditional
music, European-influence religious and secular music. Ethnic traditional music
includes Ballad, Chant and song debate. Ethnic traditional music includes art song,
Habanera/danza, liturgical Music, kumintang and pasyon Chant.
Reflection
(Dance)

Dance is also considered to be an art. It is involving a series of


rhythmic human movements that are purposefully selected. Dance
should be easily differentiated from movement. Dance involves a
mindful effort to continue movements partially, dynamically,
rhythmically and artfully in order for these movements to flow
together.
There are 5 elements of dance these are; body elements, space,
time, energy, and relationship. These all elements are very important in
order the dance are perfect. There are types of dance in the Philippines,
Filipino adaptations of dances from Europe and the United States.
These dances include fandango, habanera, jota, mazurka, rigaudon,
polka, schottische, valse and quadrille dance.
