Dear Marc,
We are pleased to offer you the position of Human Resource Manager at Amazon.com Incorporated Office
in Seattle, Washington. You will be reporting to Webie Hukom, Director of Human Resources.
This position offers a biweekly salary of $3,604, which is the equivalent of $86,500 on an annual basis.
This position is considered exempt under federal and state wage laws, which means you are not eligible for
overtime pay beyond your salary.
This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Occasional
evening and weekend work may be required as job and business project assignments.
As full-time employees you are eligible for company benefits as part of management package including 3
weeks of paid time off, this includes any sick and vacation days which is accrued at the rate of $34.81 hour
per biweekly pay period. We also offer health, dental and vision benefits, sick leave, company holidays and
a 401(k) plan. A summary of company benefits is enclosed with this letter. Further details will be provided
at the new-hire orientation program, scheduled during your first immersion week on the job.
Moving expenses in the Seattle area will be provided up to $7,000 as discussed, with proof of receipts
required. Reimbursement for house/apartment hunting trip is allowed up to $800.
Your employment with our company is regulated based on a non-compete contract, which means that
employees will not seek jobs that will put them in competition with the company after the contract
disengagement. The contract will be eligible for 2 consecutive years with a potential contract extension
based on performance review assessment. Should you complete a one-year period of employment, you will
be enrolled in our performance review and merit pay process. You may need to request 3 month early notice
for employment resignation.
As previously discussed, March 23 will be your first day of employment with our company. Kindly indicate
your understanding and acceptance of our offer by signing below and returning a copy in the enclosed
envelope no later than February 2. A list of required documents to be submitted is enclosed with this letter.
