Objective:
• To observe different activities and techniques carried out on site.
• To explore various types of bridge materials and machinery used on site.
• Aware of the items measurable for sub-structure and reinforced concrete frame works.
• To have a feel of how the condition on the site really is and how safety is a priority.

• No. of lanes: 4
• Project budget: Php. 2.6 Billion

• Target completion: 2020

Topic: Bridge Design
Title: Design and Retrofitting of Reinforced Concrete Highway Bridges (RCSB-RCDG)

RATIONALE:
The economic development of a country is based on the road network, which includes
bridges. The certainty of the bridges in operation can only be achieved by using analysis for
bridges, adequate inspection and monitoring methods, by making a correct evaluation of the
degradation and adopting optimal solutions for repairs and rehabilitation.
The seminar is a good opportunity to share the information and experience referring to
some challenges like Management, Inspection, Repair and Rehabilitation, Evaluation, Inspection,
Monitoring, and Construction.
Topics that will be discussed are the following:
 Risk analysis and risk management of bridges,
 Bridge inspection,
 New bridge repair and rehabilitation methods,
 Estimation of load carrying capacity of bridges,
 Monitoring of bridges, and
 Rehabilitation solutions.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To know the component of steel truss bridge.
2. To know how to design a superstructure of steel truss bridge.
3. To understand the concepts of the influence line analysis of steel truss bridge with the
application of STAAD-Pro structural software.
