Description: Cross braided from virgin texturised continuous filament, man-

made fibres and interbraided with aramid for additional reinforcement. It is
impregnated with PTFE dispersion and special running-in lubricants.

Recommended applications: Rotary pumps operating under extreme

conditions. The aramid reinforcing gives extended pump gland life. Highly
abrasion resistant Style 7302K is well suited for heavy duty applications
pumping heavy slurries and abrasives in the mining industry. It can be used as
anti-extrusion and/or bull rings.

This style provides a very durable and conforming packing with

good chemical resistance to meet the most demanding
applications. It is used within mining, chemical, power generation,
paper and pulp feed stock, waste water and sewerage, sugar
refineries and general service applications.

Installation Procedures:

1. Remove all the old gland packing and clean the stuffing box properly
2. Make sure the packing is the correct size

3. Cut the packing the correct length and angle (45 : see illustration below)
4. Clean the packing rings and lubricate them
5. Install the first ring - let it seat in front
6. Seat the remaining rings one at a time
7. Make sure the gland follower seats into the stuffing box and finger-tighten the
gland follower nuts
