To Whom It May Concern:

Last year I had the privilege to be Jamie Owens’ 8th grade algebra teacher. Students like Jamie
are the reason why I switched from a career of engineering to teaching. She thirsts for
knowledge and tackles each and every objective with vigor and patience. Taking her academics
seriously, this young lady desires to learn as much as possible about the world around her.

Academically, she performs at the highest level in all subjects, always giving her personal best
and never settling for mediocrity. Able to articulate through the written word, solve
mathematical problems using sound logic, and expressing herself artistically Jamie possesses a
wide range of intelligence and social acumen, helping her earn Kennedy Middle School’s Most
Outstanding Female Student for the 2018/19 academic year; however, it is not her intellect that
sets her apart from others. She possesses certain attributes that should be found in more people
but often are not. In my twenty years as an educator, few young adults are as honest, sincere,
and trustworthy as Jamie Owens. Beyond responsible, she never utters a negative comment
about anyone, making her well-liked and respected her peers and staff. Able to discuss any
subject with clarity and humor, Jamie stands out among her peers. Not only do her teachers
admire Jamie, but so do her fellow students.

Although Jamie has many responsibilities, she manages to prioritize her daily tasks and never
falls behind. In addition to being an extraordinary student, she holds a love for cinema and
desires to one day direct her own movies. Without a shred of doubt, I know Jamie Owens’ name
will one day blink in bright lights on a marquee. She proves to be the type of person who brings
integrity to any program or function for which she is involved. I highly recommend her for any
endeavor, knowing full well that she will represent your group the same way she has represented
ours, with pride and dignity.

Sincerely,
