The supplied chart represents the changes in population in India and in China. It shows the
population increase since the year of 2000 and the predicted growth until 2050.

In the beginning (2000) China’s population was much bigger than India’s, 1250 billion people
were part of the society in China, while 1000 billion humans lived in India. As the graph
suggests a rise can be noticed in the population of both countries from 2000 to 2030. India’s
population increased with 50 % of the original population, but at the same time China’s
population showed a steadily growing tendency as well. In 2030 India’s and China’s population
is predicted to be equal, 1450 billions of people will live in each of the countries.

From 2040 to 2050 the population of China will decrease with 50 billion people, while an
upward will be noticed in the population of India. In 2050 more citizen will live in India than in
China.

To summarize, it is obvious that the population of both countries will increase a lot during the
given time-slot, however, China’s population will show steadiness in the last 10 years.
