Process Paper
Youth Internship
3-6-20

My project has taught me many things not only about early childhood education but

about myself as well. It has stretched me and helped me grow in a way that has helped me make

decisions and become successful. Through my entire project the most important point I want to

convey to others is my hard work and dedication throughout the whole process. I hope to show

all the time and effort that I have put into this project and who I’ve become because of it.

The most surprising part of doing my project was the process and time it took to complete

it. I didn’t realize how many components were apart of the whole process. This project I would

say is very time consuming, but in the end it’s worth it. I’ve learned and experienced a variety of

things and opportunities along the way.

One of the most difficult parts of my senior project was getting started. Deciding what

project I wanted to do was one of the toughest parts. I wasn’t completely sure what field I wanted

to pursue a career in, so deciding either a medical or education internship took time. I was very

hesitant on picking one right away because I wanted to make sure I would enjoy it and have a

fun experience. Another obstacle was knowing my project was going to take time, considering I

had to complete 120 hours, so fitting it into my busy summer schedule was tough at times.

From both my interning experience and my teachers aide experience I can proudly say I

learned many things. The biggest thing I learned from completing this project is what type of

field I want to enter in my future. I want to pursue a career in early childhood education and

doing this project helped me experience hands on learning with what to expect in this field. It

also helped me get out of my comfort zone and allow me to get a great experience and discover

more of what I’m capable of and who I am as a person.
