During assembly, it must be ensured that all intake and exhaust openings of the blower fans are kept free in order to ensure good alr circulation at all times. UUnimpeded draining of the condensate must be assured by the customer. ‘The permitted ambient temperature for the alr conditioner Is -35 ... 55 °C, and -20 ... 55 °C for the corresponding Ex d controller. Outside the permitted ambient temperature, it is possible for extreme climatic heat radia- tion to cause pressure Increases in the refrigerant circuit even when the air conditioner is ‘switched off. In that case there is greater bursting pressure in the refrigerant circuit. Observe the designated current values in the circuit diagram when selecting the current, rating for the pre-fuse. The operator must provide an upstream cable protection and main ‘swltch upstream of the alr conditioner in every case. Before any commissioning, and before the main switch is switched on, the mains voltage, maximum nominal current and all performance specifications on the type plate of the air conditioner must be compared to the installed connection values, A rotary field inspection must be performed on principle. 2.6 Repair and maintenance work Protective gloves and protective goggles must be worn when performing maintenance ‘work on the alr conditioner. Intervention into the electrical system of the air conditioner and the ex controller may only be performed by expert and authorized persons with good knowledge of explosion protection. Work on the refrigerant circuit may also be performed only by trained spedalists with knowledge of explosion protection. ‘The reffigerant circuit is under high pressure due to the refrigerant. Independent of the condition of the aggregate, the refrigerant poses a danger to health (local freezing due to uncontrolled escape). Please ensure you observe the safety data sheet of the refrigerant in line with Directive 91/155/EEC. [BARTES ETSI naans conde FS = Page 1016 of 1275 Safety 14 In the event of @ malfunction, you must contact a specialist company who can repair the system professionally. Changes to the pressure monitors and changes to the threshold temperature values on the ‘compressor head may be performed only after consultation with the manufacturer, BARTEC BENKE Gmbh, as these are ex relevant safety facilities. CAUTION! The air conditioner contains rotating parts that are activated and deac- tivated automatically in line with their respective operating states. Therefore, when work is carried out on the ex air conditioner with the protective cladding removed, safe protection against contact must ‘always be supplied on “open” fans, blower fans, cold and hot surfaces of e.g. the evaporator, iquefier, compressor/s, refrigerant lines etc. 2.6 Explosion protection The air conditioner is designed for the cooling / heating (option) and dehumidifying of po- tentially explosive and not potentially explosive atmospheres. When assessing the classifi- cation of the minimum ignition energy of gases, vapors and dusts, the air conditioner is to be assigned to explosion sub-group IIC and temperature class T3. ‘This excludes danger areas where carbon disulfide (T6 <85 °C) could be released. The air conditioner is designed for intended use in the potentially explosive atmosphere. BARTEC BENKE alr concitioners of type series FKS + - CLM were developed to resolve ‘these problems. Through the design of wall installation, it can also be mounted retroac- tively on shelters, analytic equipment rooms and Ex control cabinets secured with excess pressure (Ex p) where process analyzers are installed for the automatic material analysis ‘of value-determining properties, Due to the special construction, It can also be installed in, for example, mobile measuring ‘containers that work in potentially explosive atmospheres. ‘Analytic equipment rooms provide protection from all types of weather conditions, as well ‘as protection from fire as well as interior and extertor risks of explosion, and in terms. ‘of explosion they are protected through the constant replacement of the room air with explaston-free air, Jn warmer dimate zones or longer perlods of good weather in particular, there are very frequent problems in terms of effective heat discharge or good air conditioning of the ana- lytic room, Availabilty losses due to system failures as well as drifting readings are the most frequent sources of malfunction during constantly increasing room temperatures, ‘causing analyzer systems to collapse due to built-up heat. In the same wey, strong temperature fluctuations in the analytic equipment rooms during day and night, particutarly in spring and autumn, can be compensated in a temperature- stable way through the use of an air conditioner. The amortization of such an Investment is seen alongside high system availablity of process analyzers with considerably Improved value creation.
