Re-dedication of the

‘Shouting Fusilier’
war memorial

Chapel Street, Salford

Sunday 24 June 2012
3.00 - 4.30pm
As part of Salford City Council’s vision to regenerate Chapel Street and
the surrounding public realm, The Salford Boer War Memorial (Shouting
Fusilier),which originally opened in July 1905, has now been completely
renovated and the area surrounding it redesigned to bring it to the forefront
of Chapel Street for all to admire.

As a local resident, we very much hope you will be able to join us from 3pm
for the re-dedication of this historic site and a celebration of the regeneration
of the area. The afternoon will include a parade, a live band and a contribution
by local school children.
