RESEARCH INTEREST
Computer Vision has always fascinated me, and I want to work in this field as it incorporates
image processing techniques with an overlap of machine learning models. My research interest
is in developing a robust model for object detection for autonomous vehicles. There have been
some significant works done, and I want to substantiate it. However there is need for the work
which deals with the optimization problem of machine learning algorithms based on posterior
probability for object detection. Several Deep Learning models based on Convolutional Neural
Network is used for the object detection task. However there is a trade-off between speed and
accuracy. YOLO (You Only Look Once) is current state of the art model for detection, but it
lacks exactness when objects are far away. There is also a cost constraint that would reduce
middle-class public access to these vehicles. Working on a model with reduced processing time
and increased accuracy can remove one of the many hurdles which general public goes through
while accessing these luxurious models
