Night watches are the most critical period of responsibility for the lookout. A
knowledge of to stand night watches is necessary to insure the safety of the
vessel.During the night watch, the officer of the watch frequently enters the chart room
or other lighted areas, therefore, he depends primarily on the lookout to shoot objects.
Night vision differs from day vision to a much greater extend than is generally
realized. Eyes respond slowly in the dark. They pick up a moving object more easily than
a still one. An object can be more readily seen at night by looking a little to the rightor
left of it rather than directly at it.

That’.

b. Indefinite Article
Indefinite Article a atau an menyatakan satu atau sebuah yang dipakai untuk
kata benda yang dapat dihitung.
-a book -an apple
-a boy -an egg
-a university -an hour
c. Indefinite Article ‘A’ dipakai sebelum kata benda yang dapat dihitung, bila kata
itu disebut untuk pertama kali. Selanjutnya apabila kata tersebut diulang lagi,
dipakai Indefinite Article The’ sebelum kata benda tersebut.
• A man and a woman were sitting in front of me on the bus. The woman
