Tips to Survive HUMSS

Have plans on taking HUMSS Strand? Or struggling so hard to survive HUMSS? I have some tips that
might help you to survive HUMSS but before that let's know what HUMSS is all about first.

HUMSS or HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCE is an academic strand which focuses on the study of
human behavior and societal changes and analysis of arts, culture, literature and politics. In other words
HUMSS Strand focuses on our society.

1. Be Talkative

-In order to survive HUMSS you should always use your mouth especially during reportings,
presentations, recitation and debates , since HUMSS is known for always having presentations,
reportings and etc. In debates you really have to be Talkative in order for you to defend yourself.

2. You have to be good at socializing

-One of the main characteristics of being a HUMSS Student is to be sociable since this strand is
composed of future police, teacher, social worker, lawyer, psychologist and etc. In this strand you will
also do research and that research requires interviews and social interaction so you really need to be
good at socializing.

3. Be a writer at heart

- I'm telling you wheter you like it or not, you have no choice but to be a good writer. It's because HUMSS
is also more on writing essays, poems, speeches, stories and etc.

4. You have to be a good speaker

- We always do speeches, reporting and public speaking so for you to deliver your speeches properly you
have to be a good speaker. And since HUMSS is known for being good at speaking, people will really have
expectations on you.

5. You have to be confident always

-the best way to survive this strand is to be confident, well I think it's not just on this strand cause we
should be confident in everything we do. Again, this strand is more on public speaking so we really need
to be confident in doing that. If you have stage frights then you should force yourself to conquer that
fear of yours.
