We were fortunate to work with Ben in Santa's Anonymous, a co-curricular club at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge, Alberta. Ben was involved, alongside both of us, in Santa's Anonymous, a club and committee that raises over $15 000 to create Christmas hampers for struggling families in the Holy Spirit district and Lethbridge area. This year, thanks to the help of dedicated volunteers like Ben, we were able to provide hampers for 95 families within our Holy Spirit school division. Ben was a very diligent member of our committee. Ben attended all of the meetings scheduled and devoted his time to attending and planning many different events including the Pumpkin Sale, 24 Hour Famine, Toy Shopping and Toy Wrapping events. Finally, Ben was there to organize and deliver the hampers to the families. In this role Ben performed many duties which may have been unusual and challenging for a new teacher, but he willing to help with anything, even if it meant sleeping on the floor while chaperoning kids, or selling pumpkins for hours outside on a frosty October day. Hundreds of hours went into making this project run smoothly and we were so thankful to have Ben help us with this challenging endeavor. ‘Throughout our experiences with Ben he proved himself to be continually professional, knowledgeable and genuine. He made easy connections with the students and we truly enjoyed getting to know Ben throughout this process. In our opinion, any schoo! will be fortunate to have Ben as part of their team and ‘we and have no doubt that he will be a great asset to the teaching profession.
